Conducting awareness programmes on the importance of the safe drinking water. Conducting demonstrations in the villages on how to purify the existing available water for consumption. Arranged fencing around the water tanks to prevent the entry of animals in the drinking water tanks in the villages. Existing women groups and the V.D.C’s (Village Development Committees) were trained in these aspects to monitor and check the village level Government personnel who are responsible to clean the water periodically.
